Summary: On certain 2022 Imagine, Reflection, Momentum, Solitude and Transcend recreational vehicles manufactured between July 6, 2021, and April 21,2022, the quick disconnect fittings for the propane (LP) gas system may be defective. As a result, the fittings could crack and leak propane. A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion.

Summary: On select 2022 Reflection and Transcend vehicles manufactured between February 11, 2022, and February 21, 2022, the 50 Amp Shore Power Inlet lug bolts may have been manufactured with excessively hard metal, preventing them from being tightened to the proper torque value, resulting in the potential for loose wire connections. If this were to occur, the inlet could overheat and/or create electrical arcing, increases the risk of a fire.

Over time, the wire could move and contact the refrigerator cooling unit. This could damage the wire and cause electrical arcing. Electrical arching could create the risk of a fire.

Summary: On affected vehicles, the 110V electrical connectors (Molex connectors) below the floor may not be properly secured and could potentially make their way to the bottom of the underbelly.  In the event of water intrusion into the underbelly area, the potential exists for the Molex connector(s) to come in contact with water, creating the possibility of a short circuit and possible fire.

Summary: Dexter Axle Company has decided a safety defect exists on axles manufactured by Dexter on September 10, 2018. Per Dexter, on affected vehicles the inner hub bearing may have insufficient grease. As a result, the potential exists for the bearing to overheat, resulting in bearing failure. If this were to occur, the affected hub may begin to smoke and eventually the axle hub may fail, creating the potential for a loss of control that could result in a crash and/or personal injury.

Also, if you live in Canada and you purchase your RV outside of the country, your RV must meet specific regulations before you can cross the border and return home. Factory Tours

Grand Design is pleased to offer Factory Tours of our production facilities.

There is a tour given at 2:00 PM EST Monday through Thursday. All tours must be scheduled via the Factory Tour Request Form. Tours are limited in size to eight people per day.

In order to particpate in a tour the following protocols have been put in place.

  • Waiver form for tour to be completed upon registration for the tour.
  • Safety vests and Glasses are required to be worn at all times, and provided at front desk.
  • No open toed shoes allowed.
  • No pets allowed.
  • No children under the age of 8
  • Must have your own transportation to the factory from the Corporate office.

Grand Design RV is taking reasonable measures to ensure your health and safety during your visit.What this means for you:

  • We no longer have mask or physical distancing requirements while in our facilities.
  • We recognize that everyone’s comfort level will vary, and you may certainly choose to wear a face covering. 
  • The State of Indiana and the CDC encourage COVID-19 vaccinations for your health and the health and wellness of those around you.  We do not require proof of vaccination to visit Grand Design RV.
  • If you are not feeling well, currently have COVID-19 and/or have been exposed within the last 7 days to someone who has COVID-19, we ask you to reschedule your visit.
  • Please take reasonable measures to ensure the health of the other tour participants and your Guide during your visit to Grand Design RV.
