Meet the Moderators

Brian Cravener

Brian Cravener is a machinist at his family-owned business, which was founded by his parents in 1972. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a background in Drafting. Brian and his wife, Michelle, have been married for 32 years and have three children and three grandchildren. They enjoy spending time outdoors, gardening, traveling, camping, and relaxing on their back porch. Brian is also an avid fisherman and hunter.

In October 2017, Brian and Michelle purchased their Grand Design Reflection 29RS fifth wheel, which they have spent the past seven years modifying to fit their needs. They attended their first National Rally in 2018 and have since volunteered at the event every year from 2021 to 2024, forming lifelong friendships along the way. They have also participated in the Capital Rally twice, further expanding their network within the RV community.

Neil Citro

Neil Citro resides in Volo, IL, and spends nearly half the year traveling in his 2018 Reflection 28BH. A lifelong camper, he has experienced everything from tent camping with the Boy Scouts to traveling in a Class A motorhome. Neil and his wife, Deanna, own a medical X-ray company. While his primary focus in RVing is electrical and data/communications, he has extensive knowledge of all RV systems.

Neil and Deanna have a six-year-old son, Lincoln, and enjoy meeting fellow RV owners during their travels. In his free time, Neil enjoys scuba diving, while Deanna is passionate about distance running. Their journey with Grand Design began after extensive research on forums to find the perfect floorplan and features. The brand’s strong engagement with its owners introduced Neil to the technical moderator team, and he is now proud to contribute to the same community that helped him early on.

Jim Hinkle

Jim Hinkle has been a Grand Design owner since early 2014 and currently owns a Solitude 310GK, his third Grand Design RV. He and his wife, Ginnie, live in Tucson, Arizona, where they enjoy camping, fishing, and traveling. They have two sons and four grandchildren, all residing in the Tucson area.

A retired electrical engineer, Jim spent 30 years in the defense industry and has a deep interest in the electrical systems of RVs. His technical expertise and passion for RVing have made him a valuable resource in the community, where he continues to share knowledge and support fellow owners.

Rob Farrow

Rob Farrow and his wife, Cate, live in Ontario, Canada. They have four sons and four grandchildren (so far!). Before discovering RVing, Rob spent a lifetime with cruising boats, making the transition to RV travel a natural fit. His experience in maintaining and modifying boat systems easily translated into working with RV systems.

Rob and Cate still own their first RV, a Reflection 303RLS, which they purchased in the summer of 2014. Ironically, it was also the first RV they ever set foot in while attending an RV show. After months of research and comparison, they returned to the Reflection 303, confirming it was the perfect choice.

With a 32-year career in automotive product engineering—primarily focused on chassis and powertrain—Rob brings a wealth of technical expertise to the RV community. He is particularly interested in plumbing and suspension systems, drawing on both his professional background and boating experience. His involvement in RV forums is a natural extension of his prior engagement in a similar boating community.

Rob and Cate travel with their two Border Collies, Molly and Angel, as well as their two cats, Elsie and Hazel.

Howard Wilson

Howard Wilson is a retired Chief Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force, where he served for 30 years in aircraft maintenance, primarily as an avionics technician. He and his wife, Francine, have been married for over 43 years and currently reside in Northwest Florida. They have two daughters and two grandchildren. After retiring from active duty, Howard worked as a civilian contractor before fully retiring. He later attended and graduated from the Recreational Vehicle Service Academy (now defunct) and is a Certified RV Technician.

Howard owns a heavily modified 2019 Grand Design 315RLTS. His introduction to Grand Design was influenced by two key factors: his wife’s preference for the 315RLTS floorplan after extensive research and the strong sense of community within the Grand Design owner network. Long before purchasing their RV, Howard built relationships through online forums, particularly with Rob Farrow and Jim Hinkle, who later recommended him for a moderator role.

Beyond RVing, Howard and Francine are actively involved in their local church and small group community. Howard also enjoys riding his Honda Goldwing with a local motorcycle club, playing tennis, and tackling Francine’s ever-growing "Honey Do" list.
